The Club (VCCCP) was formed in 1981 by Mohsin Ikram on the advice of Late Jahanazeb Karamat. The objectives of the club were to promote preservation of vintage and classic cars in Pakistan as these were considered a part of the country's heritage.
VCCCP has over the years become a household name in the country, through holding car shows and car rallies across the country which not only helped it spreading awareness of preservation of these old historic cars and bikes but also projected a softer image of Pakistan worldwide.
The early team consisted of Mohsin Ikram (Founder) , Jahanzeb Karamat, Akhund Siddiqui, Navaid Siddiqui, Dawood Bawany, Ilyas Bawany, Imad Samad, Amer Majid Khan, Jim Agha (nominated as first President by Mohsin Ikram in 1987), Faqir Ayazuddin, Abdul Wahid, Usman Sadiq, Khalid Khattak, Jawaid Ibrahim, Mushahid Shah, Shahid Mahmood, Akbar Mirza, Shahid Ahmad, Amer Ahmad, Javaid Latif, Javaid Ansari, Lala Aziz, Moin J. Abbasi, Abdus Samad.
Currently Karim Chhapra, Liaqat Malik, Adnan Noon, Shahzeb Malik, Moeed Rehman, Dr. Kamran Husain, Yasir J. Chaudhary, Altaf Hashwani, Shabbir Bijarani, etc. are playing an active and immensely important role in promoting preservation of vintage and classic cars. Last but not the least, VCCCP became a part of Federation International Vintage Automonile (FIVA) the world governing body for historical cars with over 90 member countries in their fold.
